Belgium Exports More Than 24,000 Tonnes of Egg Products, With France as Its Main Market

Belgium exported approximately 24,735 tonnes of egg products in 2024, according to the Flemish egg sector. France was the largest destination, followed by Germany, the UK and the Netherlands. Belgium is also highly integrated into the regional shell-egg trade, with 94% of its table-egg exports going to neighbouring countries. (Eggs)

The figures highlight Belgium’s role as a highly interconnected processing market rather than simply a domestic producer. Its geographic position allows egg products to move rapidly between several major European food markets, making Belgium particularly relevant for companies supplying liquid egg, yolk, albumen and powder to industrial customers.
